As part of Marmomacc, the Veronafiere, in associations with RIBA – Royal Institute of English Arch. – RAIC Royal Canadian Institute of Arch.; AIA – Australian Institute of Arch.; SAIA – South African Institute of Arch offered a Continuing Education Course for foreign architects – “Designing with Natural Stone”. For the past five years, Michael Picco has been invited as a keynote speaker to share his knowledge on stone cladding technologies. This year, Michael provided an additional seminar on the use of stone on the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba – a beautiful example of understanding the importance and relevance of the integrated design process as it relates to selecting sustainable materials.
This year’s show was another great success, which gave Michael the opportunity to meet and share his knowledge with many architects from around the world, allowing them to gain valuable knowledge and confidence to use stone on their future projects.
The Marmomacc exhibition is the leading international event in the stone and design sector and an essential appointment for all producers, designers and decision makers seeking success in an increasingly specialized industry. This major showcase highlights the best production traditions and innovations on a national and international scale. Many exhibits promote new initiatives and special features on the wealth of marble as an expressive material with unlimited potential uses in architecture and design.
