CLIENT CLIFFORD MASONRY
PICCO Engineering had the privilege of being involved in this high-profile Award-Winning project. Our expertise was needed to ensure that the White Brazilian Granite was engineered and anchored to the 113K square foot building. We were also tasked with assisting in the stone selection and oversaw the testing. Each granite panel was angled purposely and PICCO had to engineer the anchor system with precision. As Daniel Teramura, a partner at Moriyama & Teshima, has stated looking back at a visit by the Aga Khan to study samples of limestone in the daylight, “I don’t remember another client who has taken that kind of interest in the details”. PICCO’s attention to detail was critical. This project received an Ontario Association of Architects Award in April 2016 in the category of Design Excellence.
